Job summary

PT. Edukasi Mandiri Pratama seeks a part-time English teacher to deliver high-quality instruction at the center and potentially off-site. The role includes preparing materials, managing class records, and conducting assessments to track student progress.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, demonstrates excellent English, and can commit to at least one year. Experience in both in-person and online teaching is preferred, with TOEFL/IELTS optional.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 40 academic hours (24 real hours) per week.
• Carry out the timetable of classes assigned by the Director of Studies.
• Deliver lessons to high standards of English language teaching.
• Prepare lesson plans and have materials ready before classes begin.
• Administer tests and assessments according to procedures.
• Maintain student and class records and complete progress reports.

Job description

Reports to Center Director and Director of Studies or their deputies.

Working hours and location: 40 hours per week to be arranged by the Director of Studies. Teachers may be asked to work split shifts (morning and evening) both in the center and off-site.

Teach up to 40 academic hours (24 real hours) per week.

Carry out the timetable of classes assigned by the Director of Studies

Always give lessons to the highest standards of English language teaching

Become familiar with the programs and courses of study at the center

Use the course materials adopted by the center for each course assigned, and supplement as necessary

Begin and end classes on time

Administer tests and assessments according to the center’s procedures

Prepare lesson plans and have materials ready before classes begin

Carry out teaching-related responsibilities, including demonstration lessons and conversation clubs.

Maintain student and class records

Complete student progress reports and certificates according to the center’s procedures

Assist in the placement testing and interviewing of new students

Take on administrative work and projects as directed by the Director of Studies

Keep equipment and resources in good condition

Be familiar with the administrative procedures employed by the center

Help to organize and/or participate in center social and marketing events

Requirements:

PART TIME CONTRACT

Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree from reputable university.

Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

Good interpersonal and communication skills towards students, parents and other colleagues.

Experienced in teaching English would be a preference.

Experience teaching offline and online classes

Have TOEFL score minimum 550 or IELTS minimum 6.5 (optional)

Able to commit to a minimum of one year contract
