Job summary

PT. Heinz ABC Indonesia is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development and optimization, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

You will work with Production, Quality, R&D, Procurement, and suppliers to support new product launches and sustainability initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of packaging experience, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Packaging Engineering.
• 3+ years of working experience in packaging or related field.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, and packaging machinery.
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and improve packaging solutions for quality and cost.
• Identify and implement packaging cost reductions and value engineering.
• Standardize and optimize packaging materials and processes.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards.
• Monitor packaging trends and technologies; support sustainability programs.
• Plan and execute packaging trials on production lines.
• Conduct packaging testing (drop, compression, transport, shelf-life).
• Ensure packaging compatibility with manufacturing equipment.
• Investigate packaging-related quality issues and complaints.
