Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Packaging Development Lead to drive end-to-end packaging projects with a hands-on approach and strong team leadership. You will act as the technical expert for printing quality, artwork feasibility, and on-pack visuals.

You will coach the team in printing, color control, and material-performance understanding while driving speed, cost optimization, and print consistency across NPD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field (Packaging/Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years in Packaging Development with exposure to packaging formats and printing technologies.
• Experience with flexible packaging materials and printing methods.
• Strong color management, artwork adaptation, and print problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers/converters and leading projects in FMCG environments.
• Not color-blind and able to evaluate print quality across processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging development with hands-on involvement and team leadership.
• Be the technical expert for printing quality, artwork feasibility, and on-pack visuals.
• Coach team on printing, color control, and material-performance understanding.
• Drive speed and execution excellence for NPD with fast, right-first-time delivery.
• Manage packaging workload and lead packaging for NPD with cost and print consistency focus.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement, and Suppliers to translate design to print efficiently.
• Own validation of printing processes (flexo, gravure, digital) and troubleshoot defects.
• Lead supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company standards and documentation.
