Job summary

EssilorLuxottica seeks an Opex Controller to oversee and optimize day-to-day operating costs. You will handle financial planning & analysis, accounting, and internal controls for the country’s operating expense area. You will partner with business units to drive cost efficiency and accurate reporting.

You will work with Commercial, Marketing, HRGA, and Operations to deliver timely insights, support strategic decisions, and strengthen risk controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably from Public Accounting.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Strong accounting background.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to lead, influence, and drive change amidst ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating expense entries daily and flag misallocated costs.
• Review POs to ensure spending aligns with the budget.
• Track, analyze, and report operating expenses for cost efficiency.
• Run-rate analysis on current weekly spend vs month-to-date targets.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for operating expenses.
• Provide timely financial information to local management to support decisions and risk control.
• Interact with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, HRGA and Operations.

Your Role

We are looking for Opex Controller who will oversee and optimize the Company's day-to-day operating costs. You will be responsible from financial planning & analysis, accounting as well as finance internal controls enhancement in the operating expense area of the business. You will provide key support in business partnering, managing and improving finance processes and controls for operating expense area in the country.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor operating expense entries daily to catch and fix misallocated costs.
• Review POs to ensure the spending is in line with the budget.
• Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on operating expenses, to identify areas for cost efficiency and productivity improvements.
• Perform a run-rate analysis on current weekly spend trends against month-to-date targets.
• Managing the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for operating expenses.
• Support on financial and accounting analysis to provide timely and accurate financial information to local management team to support strategic decision-making process, as well risk control.
• Constant interaction with many different stakeholders from all functions, including Commercial, Marketing, HRGA and Operations.

Main requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required; postgraduate degree is welcome.
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably from Public Accounting firm.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Strong accounting background.
• Strong Microsoft Excel technical background.
• Strong ability to lead, influence, drive change amongst ambiguity
• Goal driven and result oriented
• Diverse and able to work well in teams and across functions
• Good analytical skills and strategic thinking, with pro-active, independent, and strong approach
• Problem solving skills, performing highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks
