Job summary

Nestlé Indonesia at Karawang Factory is seeking an Operations Shift Manager to lead line objectives, empower teams, and ensure production plans are met on time while upholding safety, quality, cost, and environmental standards.

You will drive safety culture, enforce NGMP, supervise semi-finish and finished goods quality, and ensure clean and maintained working areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or Engineering.
• 3–5 years in a functional role in the food industry.
• Ability to lead and engage people.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety practices.
• Effective staff management and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Safety Culture and ensure a Safe Working Environment.
• Ensure FP/SFG manufactured per standards and manufacturing instructions.
• Maintain NGMP-compliant clean and well-maintained work areas.
• Manage production via operational reviews and routines for sustainable results.
• Organize and delegate tasks, evaluate team performance.
• Maintain dialogue with stakeholders on the line (PM, Maintenance, Unions).

**Position Summary**

• Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures
• Ensure that Semi Finish Good and Finished Goods are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance).
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines to ensure sustainable results.
• Organizing & delegating assignments to the team members, assessing and evaluating the work performance of the teams
• Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line).

What will make you successful

• Bachelor (S-1) Majoring Food Technology or Technical/Engineering
• 3-5 year experience in a functional role in Food industry - Having Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people
• Ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance,
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.
• Ability to ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment Ability to set effective and challenging objectives
