Job summary

Arkora Group seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor for our hydro power project in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The role oversees powerhouse operations, turbine-generators, and OHSE compliance, with a focus on reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a technical degree, has 3+ years in power-plant operations, and can lead teams, troubleshoot disturbances, and report performance to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma (D3) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as an Operations Supervisor in a power generation facility, preferably HEPP/MHPP.
• Possession of a Hydroelectric Power Plant Operation Competency Certificate (SKTTK) is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to make quick decisions during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the powerhouse, weir, head tank, penstock, turbine-generator units, and other components within the operational area.
• Manage river water flow and gate openings according to daily power generation and load targets.
• Lead initial response and troubleshooting in case of unit malfunction or disturbances.
• Prepare operational performance reports for submission to the Plant Manager.
• Ensure all shift operators comply with OHSE standards within the power plant area.

Job description

Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Power Engineering.

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Operations Supervisor in a power generation facility, preferably in a Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) or Mini Hydroelectric Power Plant (MHPP).

Possession of a valid Hydroelectric Power Plant Operation Competency Certificate (SKTTK) is an advantage.

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to make quick decisions during emergencies.

Willing to be placed in South Sulawesi.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the powerhouse, weir, head tank, penstock, turbine-generator units, and other components within the operational area.
• Manage river water flow and gate openings in accordance with the daily power generation and load targets.
• Lead the initial response and troubleshooting activities in the event of a generating unit malfunction or operational disturbance.
• Prepare operational performance reports for submission to the Plant Manager.
• Ensure all shift operators comply with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) standards within the power plant operational area.
