Job summary

British American Tobacco Indonesia is seeking an Operations Performance Manager in Malang. You will manage daily liaison with Production, Quality, and Supply, driving KPI performance and cost efficiency across the supply base.

The role requires a strong engineering background and hands-on supplier leadership to optimise capacity and deliver continuous improvements. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in production or factory environments, experience with Tier 1 suppliers, RCA/FMEA proficiency,

Qualifications

• Engineering background in consumer electronics manufacturing or tooling.
• 10+ years’ experience in production or factory environments.
• Experience leading Tier 1 suppliers and exposure to Tier 2/3 is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with RCA, FMEA, and CI methodologies.

• Daily liaison and supply base management for Production, Quality, Optimization, Cost and Delivery.
• Resolves supplier issues threatening supply and delivery.
• Drives Manufacturing Performance KPI to meet targets.
• Delivers and leads an effective and flexible supply base.

• Enhances operations performance in the supply base to increase output and reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Works with suppliers to deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Applies Project Management principles, communicates risks, issues and opportunities timely.

British American Tobacco Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for a Operations Performance Manager in Malang!

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Daily liaison and supply base management for Production, Quality, Optimization, Cost and Delivery.
• Resolves supplier issues and concerns immediately which threaten supply and delivery.
• Drives Manufacturing Performance KPI to meet required target.
• Delivers and leads an effective and flexible supply base.
• Ensures manufacturing capacity is optimised to deliver future demand.
• Enhance Operations performance in the supply base to increase output and reduce manufacturing cost without impacting quality.
• Works closely with the Supplier to deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensures good Project Management principles are applied and all risks, issues and opportunities are correctly and timely communicated.

What are we looking for?

• Applied Science or Engineering (preferably mechanical or electrical) field, with a background in consumer electronics manufacturing and injection molding or tooling, with 10 years’ experience in production or factory environments.
• Hands-on experience leading Tier 1 suppliers, with exposure to wider supply chains (Tier 2/3 awareness is a plus).
• Strong problem solver, with shown use of root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Solid project management capability, able to drive delivery, handle risks, and implement long-term fixes.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing and supply planning processes, including production cycles and operational KPIs. Experience driving operational excellence initiatives, such as Lean manufacturing, time motion study, Six Sigma, 5S, VSM, OEE, or process optimization.
• Ability to influence and improve supplier performance, including training/coaching suppliers and aligning them to company standards.
• Strong stakeholder management, presentation skills and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to lead reviews, drive accountability, and deliver cost-saving improvements.
• Business focused and shown change agent.Open and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn, adopt change, and think creatively to solve complex challenges.
