Job summary

British American Tobacco Indonesia is seeking a Cell Manager - E – Liquid in Malang to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensure safety, quality and efficiency, and drive continuous improvements. The role focuses on team development, CAPA, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver stellar production results.

You will oversee production teams, manage costs, support new product introductions, and ensure adherence to GMP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments (GMP).
• Experience leading production teams in manufacturing settings.
• Strong GMP understanding, quality management systems and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Meet production targets for service levels, equipment performance and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations into production and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational performance and manufacturing effectiveness.
• Develop, coach and manage production teams including performance reviews.
• Manage manufacturing costs via labor, materials, utilities and equipment.
• Support new product introductions and process validation activities.

The role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role leads production teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business objectives. The position also plays a key role in developing team capability, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting the introduction of new products and processes.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production activities.
• Deliver production targets related to service levels, equipment performance, productivity, quality, and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations into production and quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and manufacturing effectiveness.
• Develop, coach, and manage production teams, including performance reviews and succession planning.
• Manage manufacturing costs through effective utilization of labor, materials, utilities, and equipment.
• Support new product introductions, process validation activities, and operational readiness for production deployment.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments operating under Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
• Proven experience leading production teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, quality management systems, corrective and preventive action processes, and root cause investigation methodologies.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
