JAC Recruitment is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Manager to oversee Open RAN infrastructure performance and availability. The role focuses on incident management, root cause analysis, and lifecycle control across a multi-vendor environment.
The ideal candidate will lead multi-vendor teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure robust monitoring using SMO/NMS tools. A strong background in telecommunications operations and leadership is essential.
The Operations and Maintenance Manager role leads the monitoring and operational performance of Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) infrastructure. The position plays a key part in maintaining network availability, managing incidents, guiding root cause analysis, and ensuring effective lifecycle control across a multi-vendor environment.
Oversee 24-hour monitoring of Open RAN network performance using Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) and Network Management System (NMS) tools
Ensure the timely detection, escalation, and resolution of network incidents
Manage operational key performance indicators, including availability, latency, throughput, call drop rate, and handover success
Identify and propose potential upselling opportunities arising from changes or variations in project scope
Lead root cause analysis for major incidents and recurring issues
Ensure proper version control and lifecycle tracking of network elements
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Seven to ten or more years of experience in telecommunications operations, including at least three years in a leadership or management role
Proven experience leading teams and managing projects
Experience managing multi-vendor and cloud-native Open RAN infrastructure
Knowledge of network monitoring, automation, and observability tools
Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
