Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd in Batam, Indonesia is seeking an experienced Operations Engineering Manager to lead the planning, development, and maintenance of processes within our engineering function. You will direct activities for both new and existing products, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s or MBA preferred for advancement.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with broad-based management and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.
• Assist product support areas in data gathering and analysis.
• Participate with senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.
• Direct the activities of engineers, budgeting, and cost maintenance for a broad functional area.
• Interact regularly with executives, customers and regulatory agencies.
• Drive engineering strategies to meet customer requirements and enable Flex capabilities in manufacturing and services.
• Provide technical supplier management related to product development and integration.

Responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods, processes and operations for both new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and resources in producing cost-effective, quality products and customer solutions.

What a typical day looks like:

• Participates in the review of customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.
• Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.
• Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.
• Directs the activities of engineers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
• Interacts regularly with executives, customers and outside regulatory agencies.
• Drives engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend Flex capabilities in manufacturing and engineering services.
• Provides technical supplier management as related to product development and integration.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
