Job summary

PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia in Batam, Indonesia, seeks a Director, Operations Engineering to lead day-to-day operations and core functions in order to achieve operational excellence.

The role focuses on guaranteeing on-time, fully compliant production and delivery, managing staff and P&L, and coordinating cross-functional programs with executives and customers. A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of management experience in relevant industries.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee production and delivery in full, on time, and in specifications required by customers.
• Lead staff with P&L oversight and drive operational excellence.
• Establish and communicate Business Unit goals and assignments.
• Define and execute programs aligned with strategic plans and annual goals.
• Review KOIs with executives monthly and business reviews with customers.
• Direct activities in purchasing, production control, planning, and manufacturing.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director, Operations Engineering located inBatam, Indonesia.

The Director, Operations Engineering reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and core functions of operations in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.

What a typical day looks like:

Guarantee production and delivery in full, on time, and in specifications required by customers, at the most competitive cost.

Operational business experience including a successful performance track record managing staff and P&L.

Establish and communicate Business Unit goals and assignments.

Define and execute operational programs in line with strategic plans and annual operating goals.

Meet with Executive Business at least monthly to review and evaluate KOI's.

Attend quarterly business reviews with key customers.

Partner with other business to establish strategic plans and goals.

Direct and control the activities on purchasing business, production control, planning, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and logistics.

Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of management experience in relevant industries
