Job summary

Flex in Batam, Indonesia, is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead a team of process engineers and technicians, improving capabilities to support our manufacturing operations.

You will establish and maintain statistical process control, develop process documentation, drive cost and throughput improvements, and collaborate with design and production teams to bring new products to manufacturability, while recruiting and retaining skilled staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of engineering experience including supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain SPC systems.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Manage development projects to meet product specs, delivery, and cost targets.
• Collaborate with other engineering members to design manufacturable products.
• Improve throughput in constrained areas.
• Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for performance and cost reduction.
• Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified workforce.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Manager located in Batam, Indonesia.

Responsible for managing a team of process engineers working on improving process engineering capabilities to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Work with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Improve throughput in constrained areas.
• Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and manage cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
• Partner with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
• Typically requires 7 years of engineering experience including supervision.
