Job summary

Waste4Change in Bekasi, Indonesia, seeks an Operational Lead to head daily plastic manufacturing site operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and sustainability, while aligning capacity with growth targets.

You will set and monitor KPIs, lead Production and Partnership teams, analyze material trends, and drive continuous improvement across production and operations, with monthly reporting on progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in operational roles (factory/manufacture/logistics) with production leadership.
• Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and material types (PP, PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC).
• Familiarity with domestic waste management, regulations, and environmental standards preferred.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor operational initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to manage teams and partners.

• Build, develop, and lead Production and Partnership teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Analyze plastic material trends, market demands, and supply chain opportunities to support business expansion.
• Ensure effective execution of new projects by integrating them into operational workflows and production teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, methods, and work culture to enhance productivity, including development of operational tools, new revenue opportunities, and cross-team collaboration.
• Provide monthly reports covering revenue progress, operational efficiency, production performance, and strategic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree majoring in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in operational fields (factory/manufacture/logistics); experience in leading production teams is required.
• Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and plastic material types (PP, PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, etc.), including their business applications.
• Knowledge and experience related to domestic waste management, regulation, and environmental standards are preferred.
• Proven project management skills with ability to plan, execute, and monitor operational initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to manage internal teams and external partners.
