Job summary

Thecorridors is seeking an Ocean Freight Operations Executive to manage end-to-end ocean freight activities from booking to delivery in Jakarta. You will liaise with customers, shipping lines, and internal teams to ensure timely cargo movement and regulatory compliance, while driving cost efficiency and capacity optimization.

The role requires 3–5 years of ocean freight experience, strong communication and leadership, and proficiency with freight forwarding software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ocean freight operations within the international freight forwarding industry.
• Understanding of ocean cargo procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee ocean freight shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and customer specifications.
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, consolidators, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and timely cargo movement.
• Coordinate with the procurement and capacity management team to efficiently secure capacity and to optimize costs and maximize profitability.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively address any issues or delays to minimize disruptions and ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and shipping manifests.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as sales, operations, and warehousing, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of operations.
