Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a senior mining leader to head mining engineering operations in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. You will ensure compliance with ESDM regulations, oversee exploration-to-infrastructure activities, and maintain a strong focus on K3, GMP, and environmental stewardship.

The role requires 8+ years in nickel mining, with proven managerial or KTT experience, and hands-on capability in mine planning, budgeting, and contractor management.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in mining operations.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian mining regulations (ESDM).
• Experience coordinating with government agencies and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with mining regulations (ESDM) and act as liaison with government agencies.
• Lead preparation, evaluation, and control of mining and environmental documents (RKAB, AMDAL).
• Oversee all mining operations including drilling, ore extraction, hauling, stockpile management, and shipping.
• Lead HSE initiatives and enforce GMP and safety management systems.
• Mentor and evaluate the operations team and contractors for regulatory and technical standards.
