Job summary

MSBU Konsultan in Indonesia seeks an experienced Network Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise IT defenses on-site at Batu Hijau, Lombok. The role demands hands-on management of firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and security operations with a strong incident response mindset.

You will implement and maintain security controls across on-prem and cloud environments, provide guidance on best practices, and support IT security incident handling from detection to recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT Security Engineer experience.
• NSE 1 or NSE 2 certification preferred.
• Exposure to Next Generation Firewall and Endpoint Protection.
• Basic exposure to SIEM for Security Operations Center.
• Knowledge of Email Security and Application Security.

Responsibilities

• Administer IT Security Systems including Firewall, IPS, NDR, and WAF.
• Protect endpoints and manage vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor security events and perform basic incident response.
• Suggest improvements to security practices, standards, tools and environment.
• Proactively analyze IT security events using monitoring techniques.
• Respond to IT security incidents to prevent further damage.
• Follow incident response procedures for containment and recovery.
• Assist users with information security inquiries as needed.
• Maintain and tune IT Security Systems configurations.
• Support changes to security modules or systems.

We URGENTLY need "Network Security Engineer"

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience as IT Security Engineer Role
• Having professional certification NSE 1 or NSE 2 is preferable
• Exposure to administering Next Generation Firewall and Endpoint Protection (Anti Malware)
• Basic Exposure to Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tool for Security Operation Center
• Knowledge of Email Security, Application Security, and other IT frameworks (ITIL, Cobit, Etc)
• OPEN FOR CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT

Responsibilities:

• Administering of IT Security Systems including (but not limited to) Network Security (Firewall, IPS, NDR), Web Application Firewall, Secure Web Gateway, Email Security, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Awareness, Security Information Event Management Take ownership of IT Security Systems including (but not limited to) Network Security (Firewall, IPS, NDR), Web Application Firewall, Secure Web Gateway, Email Security, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Awareness, Security Information Event Management
• The protection coverage includes the system at the endpoint, on-premises Data Center, cloud Data Center, DMZ, IT network and OT network.
• Provide suggestions on potential improvements to IT security practices, standards, tools, and environment
• Proactive identity and analyzing IT security events through the use of advanced security monitoring techniques and advanced cyber systems/tools.
• Respond to IT security incident at the earliest stage to prevent further damage or information lost
• Follow IT Security Incident Response Procedure to analyze, containment, eradication, and recovery. Escalation to the reporting line and liaise with the required parties during incident response.
• Assist users seeking assistance with information security inquiries. This could be providing direct assistance or referring the user to the relevant support team.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance to IT Security Systems
• Fine-tune to enhance IT Security Systems configuration
• Perform changes to IT Security Systems for additional module, or system
• Support other initiatives that require change to IT Security Systems
