Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Network Operations Technician to oversee critical network infrastructure across multiple Data Center locations in Indonesia. You will ensure network reliability, coordinate with vendors, manage incidents, and support changes in a mission-critical environment.

You will troubleshoot fiber and network hardware, travel between sites, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to maintain service availability, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, telecom, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in network operations, data center, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networks, fiber optics, and network hardware.
• Experience troubleshooting connectivity, switching, routing, and physical layer issues.
• Experience overseeing vendors, contractors, and telecom projects.
• Familiarity with network maintenance, incident, and change management processes.
• Understanding of Data Center operations and critical environments.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities across sites.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel between Data Centers and support after-hours activities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across Data Center sites.
• Provide onsite support for incidents, maintenance, and emergencies.
• Travel between Data Centers to oversee activities and vendor work.
• Troubleshoot network, fiber, hardware issues to minimize outages.
• Support change management, including upgrades and testing.
• Coordinate with network engineers to diagnose faults and recover.

About The Role

As a CBRE Network Operations Technician, you will support and oversee critical network infrastructure operations across multiple Data Center locations. This role is responsible for network reliability, vendor management, project coordination, incident response, and operational compliance while ensuring network services are delivered safely and efficiently in a mission-critical environment.

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day network operations across Data Center sites.
• Provide onsite support for network incidents, maintenance activities, and emergency response situations.
• Travel between Data Centers to oversee operational activities, projects, and vendor works.
• Troubleshoot network, connectivity, hardware, and optical fiber issues to minimize service disruptions.
• Support network change management activities, including switch upgrades, testing, and implementation.
• Coordinate with network engineers to diagnose faults, execute recovery actions, and maintain service availability.
• Supervise vendors during telecommunications deployments, ISP commissioning, fiber installations, and network projects.
• Monitor project schedules, risks, milestones, and vendor performance, ensuring work is completed according to scope and standards.
• Conduct network infrastructure inspections and validate compliance with operational and technical requirements.
• Oversee activities within critical network environments and live data halls.
• Support site surveys, project planning, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with network SOPs, MOPs, safety standards, and client operational procedures.
• Support network decommissioning activities and ensure safe execution of work.
• Collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support operational and project objectives.
• Prepare and maintain accurate incident, maintenance, and project status reports.

What You'll Need

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in network operations, telecommunications, Data Center operations, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments, fiber optic infrastructure, and network hardware.
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, switching, routing, and physical layer issues.
• Experience overseeing vendors, contractors, and telecommunications projects.
• Familiarity with network maintenance, incident management, and change management processes.
• Understanding of Data Center operations and critical environment practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different sites.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
