About the Role
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and continuously improving Core Network and Data Center infrastructure to support critical applications, Data Center/DRC operations, and hybrid cloud services. You will ensure that network solutions are highly available, scalable, resilient, secure, and performant while aligning with business and technical requirements.
You will also collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, security, operations, vendors, principals, and system integrators to deliver network infrastructure projects within the defined scope, timeline, quality, and technical standards. The role includes network architecture and capacity planning, technical documentation, change and risk management, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, implement, and develop Core Network and Data Center network infrastructure.
- Ensure network connectivity to support critical applications, Data Centers, DRC, and hybrid cloud services.
- Prepare and review HLD, LLD, BoQ, network topologies, configurations, and technical documentation.
- Conduct requirements analysis, capacity planning, and infrastructure assessments, and provide recommendations for network infrastructure improvements.
- Prepare and review Change Management documents, MOPs, test scenarios, risk assessments, and rollback plans.
- Ensure network implementations meet requirements for availability, scalability, resiliency, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, operations, users, vendors, principals, and system integrators.
- Monitor project progress and ensure projects are delivered according to scope, timeline, quality, and company governance standards.
- Support network design standardization, automation, efficiency improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance to team members as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in network infrastructure, particularly in enterprise environments, data centers, banking, telecommunications, or mission-critical systems.
- Proficient in routing and switching concepts and implementation, including TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, VRF, link aggregation, and redundancy.
- Understanding of Data Center and DRC architecture, high availability, network segmentation, and interconnectivity between data centers.
- Understanding of firewalls, load balancing/ADC, DDI/DNS, VPN, and network security.
- Understanding of cloud and hybrid cloud connectivity, including VPN, private interconnection, routing, and cloud network segmentation.
- Experience with Spine-Leaf, EVPN-VXLAN, SDN, network automation, or infrastructure as code is an advantage.
- Able to develop and execute High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), BoQ, capacity planning, topology diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of Change Management, Method of Procedure (MOP), test scenarios, risk assessment, rollback plans, and post-implementation reviews.
- Strong network troubleshooting skills, including log analysis, packet capture, traffic flow, routing, latency, and performance analysis.
- Experience coordinating with internal teams, vendors, principals, and system integrators.
- Experience as a Technical Lead or in leading network implementation projects is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIP, PCNSA/PCNSE, cloud networking, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Demonstrates initiative, ownership, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects in parallel.
