About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nanny to join the Step Forward Lombok team. This is a full-time position based in Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat, offering an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. As a Nanny, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare, fostering development, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for the children in your care. This role is fundamental to our commitment to supporting families and ensuring every child receives the attention, care, and guidance they deserve.

Key responsibilities

Providing daily childcare and supervision for children of various ages, ensuring their safety, health, and wellbeing at all times

Developing and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programmes that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development

Preparing nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary requirements and preferences, maintaining proper food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with personal care routines including bathing, dressing, toilet training, and grooming in a gentle and patient manner

Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe living environment for the children, including tidying play areas and managing household tasks related to childcare

Communicating regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, activities, behaviour, and any concerns or milestones achieved

Transporting children to appointments, school, or activities as required, ensuring appropriate safety measures during travel

Responding promptly to children's emotional and physical needs, providing comfort and reassurance when necessary

Following established routines and schedules whilst remaining flexible to adapt to children's individual needs and circumstances

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a nanny, childcare provider, or in a related childcare role, ideally with children of multiple age groups

Strong knowledge of child development milestones and age-appropriate activities and learning techniques

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with both children and parents

Demonstrated commitment to child safety, including knowledge of first aid and basic health protocols

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively whilst maintaining a calm, patient, and nurturing demeanour

Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility towards the families and children you support

Physical fitness and energy to keep up with children's activities throughout the day

Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing needs and circumstances

Preferably, formal qualifications or certifications in childcare, early childhood education, or first aid

Understanding of local culture, values, and parenting practices in Lombok
