Job summary

ANDALAN EDU AKTIF is seeking a Music Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that build students' musical knowledge, skills, creativity, and appreciation. You will align with our curriculum and encourage students to explore, create, and express themselves through music.

The role involves supporting performances, maintaining instruments, collaborating with staff, and participating in meetings and professional development to advance our IB-aligned education program.

Qualifications

• Relevant educational background and qualifications in Music or a related field.
• Teaching experience or relevant professional experience; familiarity with the IB framework is an advantage.
• Strong musical, instructional, and classroom management skills.
• Creative, collaborative, and passionate about student-centered learning and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that develop students’ musical knowledge and skills, including music theory, rhythm, melody, singing, instruments, listening, and performance.
• Provide opportunities for students to explore different musical styles, cultures, and forms of creative expression.
• Encourage creativity, confidence, and active participation through practical activities, composition, and musical performances.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Prepare and support student performances, concerts, assemblies, and other school events as assigned.
• Maintain musical instruments, equipment, and learning resources in good condition.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide activities.
• Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Job description

The Music Teacher plans and delivers engaging, student-centered music learning experiences that develop students’ musical knowledge, practical skills, creativity, artistic expression, and appreciation of music. Learning experiences should align with the school’s curriculum and educational approach while encouraging students to explore, create, and express themselves through music.
