Job summary

Qualifications

The Mathematics Teacher plans and delivers engaging, student-centered learning experiences that develop students’ mathematical understanding, problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and critical thinking. The teacher ensures that learning aligns with the school’s curriculum and IB approaches while fostering students’ curiosity and confidence in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured, inclusive mathematics lessons that address curriculum objectives and students’ learning needs.

Explain mathematical concepts through relevant learning experiences that encourage understanding, application, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate academic records, and communicate learning progress to parents.

Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support, enrichment, and intervention.

Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and mathematical thinking.

Collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators to improve curriculum delivery, share effective practices, and support interdisciplinary learning.

Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Passion for student-centered learning, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Qualifications and Competencies
