Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Associate II, Molding & Tooling Engineering in Batam, Indonesia. You will assist in mold tooling, injection molding process development, defect analysis, tooling optimization and process troubleshooting to deliver quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams, CAPA investigations, and ensuring safety and compliance while supporting projects from concept to validation. A BS in Engineering and 1–2 years in molding or tooling are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Molding and/or Tooling.
• Level of English: Good communication skills; able to speak clearly and communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of MiniTab / Power BI is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; candidates with other degrees with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Execute Pin Proofing activities for Optic Pins. Setup systems to manage the tooling, pins, associated molding equipment performance, and replacement frequency.
• Perform investigations related to Molding process and implement various CAPAs related to molding area.
• Maintain molding area in clean & orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Support engineering projects (improvement/transfer/equipment) and validation of molding area to ensure timely completion within schedule, cost and in compliance of all standards.
• Provide process improvement & re-engineering for product yield & quality improvement.
• Carry out engineering studies, perform statistical analysis as needed, to maintain an efficient production process and system, to support product yield improvement and product quality improvement.
