Job summary

Sandvik AB in Freeport, Papua, Indonesia seeks an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated systems, PLCs, instrumentation and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations and minimal downtime. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, interpret automation designs, document work, and liaise with operations.

Requirements include at least 2 years in automation, High School or D3 IT or related field, Auto Electric and IT software

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in automation.
Education: High School or D3 IT or related field.
Certification: Auto Electric.
Certification: IT software.

Responsibilities

Repairing and replacing parts following instructions and automating equipment.
Interpreting basic automation designs and maintenance manuals; assemble and adjust as needed.
Carry out maintenance tasks independently and verify results; monitor panel-operated equipment for issues.
Report and document work according to procedures and instructions.
Communicate with customers to explain basic procedures and refer to the responsible person.
Provide feedback to line managers regarding maintenance and service challenges during automation operations.
Give limited guidance to level 1 trainees.
Ensure all procedures are followed using available tools and safety standards.
Raise awareness and report anomalies per SHEQ guidelines.
