Job summary

PT Sandvik Indonesia is seeking an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated systems within a mining operations context in Papua. The role focuses on safe and reliable system performance, preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaboration with operations teams.

Requirements include at least 2 years in automation, a High School or D3 IT related education, and proficient English. Will involve field work at Freeport, Papua, with strict SHEQ guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automation experience.
• High School diploma or D3 IT or related field.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Repair parts and automate equipment according to instructions.
• Interpret designs, assemble/disassemble for adjustments.
• Perform maintenance tasks independently and monitor panels.
• Report work per procedures and keep records.
• Provide basic guidance to level 1 trainees.
• Ensure safety standards and SHEQ guidelines are followed.
• Raise anomalies to colleagues.
• Communicate with customers to explain procedures.
