Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled MEP engineer to lead technical coordination with main contractors and subcontractors, and to liaise with consultants, architects, and clients on design and technical matters. The role requires ensuring installations meet project specifications and updating master progress trackers.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP or related engineering field, and at least six years of experience in MEP/building services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP or related engineering field.
• Minimum six (6) years of relevant working experience in MEP/building services works.
• Able to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to present technical reports clearly and professionally.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate different parties and resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical coordination meetings with main contractors and trade subcontractors.
• Liaise with consultants, architects and clients to clarify design and technical matters.
• Ensure site installations comply with project specifications.
• Update the master MEP progress tracker and look ahead schedules.
• Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and walkthroughs to monitor ongoing mechanical and electrical installations.
• Manage and integrate technical building systems, including electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are properly completed and operational.
