This opportunity is based in Indonesia. The role offers the opportunity to lead medical services strategy and operations within a reputable private hospital group while ensuring high standards of patient care, clinical governance, and physician engagement.
Position Overview
Lead and oversee the hospital's medical services function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across all clinical service areas.
Drive physician engagement, operational excellence, and clinical service development while supporting organisational growth and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the hospital's Medical Services function, covering specialist physician management and medical service delivery across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist physicians, ensuring effective engagement, communication, and alignment with hospital objectives.
- Monitor and improve the performance, utilization, and quality of medical services across the hospital.
- Work closely with hospital leadership, nursing, ancillary services, and other functions to ensure integrated and patient-centered service delivery.
- Support the development and growth of key clinical services and Centers of Excellence, including Orthopedics.
- Ensure medical services comply with applicable clinical governance, patient safety, quality, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, operational efficiency, patient experience, and physician performance.
- Support hospital initiatives to effectively serve a mixed BPJS and private/non-BPJS patient population.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical degree (Doctor / dr.) with relevant experience in hospital management or medical services.
- Proven experience in Medical Services, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, or a comparable hospital leadership function.
- Experience within a Type C general hospital or above is required; candidates should ideally come from a general hospital rather than a single-specialty hospital.
- Exposure to hospitals serving both BPJS and private/non-BPJS patients is preferred.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong experience in managing and engaging specialist physicians and coordinating multidisciplinary clinical stakeholders.
- Good understanding of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and broader hospital medical services.
- Knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, quality management, accreditation, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Experience monitoring and improving medical service performance, utilisation, and quality outcomes.
- Ability to support the development of key clinical services and Centres of Excellence.
- Understanding of healthcare service delivery models involving both BPJS and private/non-BPJS patient segments.
