Job summary

APRIL is seeking a Mechanical Technician to execute maintenance activities in its Paper or Paperboard production area, supporting equipment reliability, production efficiency, and safety.

This role performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on pumps, motors, gearboxes, rollers, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and participates in machine shutdowns and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma education in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as Mechanical Technician in Paper or Paperboard industry.
• Experience handling Paper Machine or Board Machine equipment.
• Good knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiar with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Able to read technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work in shift schedule and support shutdown activities when required.
• Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for Paper/Paperboard production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on pumps, motors, gearboxes, rollers, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Support maintenance activities for paper machine, board machine, winder, rewinder, and finishing equipment.
• Conduct routine inspection and condition monitoring to identify potential failure.
• Carry out alignment, lubrication, bearing replacement, and mechanical adjustment activities.
• Assist during machine shutdown, overhaul, and improvement projects.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with company safety standards and procedures.
• Coordinate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
• Maintain proper documentation and maintenance records.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
