Job summary

PT Egamekinka Pratama seeks a Mechanical Engineer specializing in fluid systems to design industrial pump solutions and support large-scale projects across sectors. You will develop technical specifications, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with project teams and sales to ensure successful execution.

The role requires 2–3 years of pump experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and a solid understanding of pump performance curves and fluid mechanics.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2-3 years of specific work experience handling industrial pumps or rotating equipment.
• Proficient in operating 2D/3D mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of pump performance curves, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and material selection (basic metallurgy).
• Able to read and interpret P&ID and technical drawings.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and within teams.
• Fluent in English (minimum passive level for reading technical documents/manuals).
• Willing to undertake business travel to project sites if required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical specifications for industrial pump systems (centrifugal pump, positive displacement pump, slurry pump, etc.) according to client requirements and international standards (API, ASME, ISO)
• Perform hydraulic calculations (Head, NPSHa/NPSHr, efficiency, and pump curves) to determine optimal material and pump models based on fluid characteristics
• Lead pump performance testing processes (Factory Acceptance Test / FAT) and conduct installation and commissioning (Site Acceptance Test / SAT) at project sites or client facilities
• Conduct mechanical failure analysis (root cause analysis), vibration analysis, and component wear assessment to provide maintenance recommendations (preventive & corrective maintenance)
• Prepare technical documentation, datasheets, and manufacturing drawings and coordinate closely with project teams, production teams, and technical sales
