Job summary

PT TeamworX Indonesia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Design & Engineering Department. The role focuses on developing mechanical designs, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality and compliance with project requirements.

You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least three years of design experience in EPC, engineering consultancy, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably in EPC, engineering consultancy, industrial, manufacturing, power plant, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design processes, and engineering documentation.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing mechanical drawings, layouts, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, or other engineering/design software is an advantage.
• Familiar with applicable engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, or relevant international standards.
• Good understanding of multidisciplinary engineering coordination and design interfaces.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Prepare and review mechanical layouts, equipment arrangements, piping layouts, and other relevant engineering deliverables.
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure designs meet technical, safety, quality, and constructability requirements.
• Coordinate with Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other disciplines to resolve design interfaces and technical issues.
• Review engineering documents, vendor drawings, and technical submittals related to mechanical systems and equipment.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, specifications, BOQs/MTOs, and other project documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, consultants, and vendors.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within the project schedule.
• Provide technical support during project execution and assist in resolving design-related issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and company procedures.
