Job summary

PT. S2DIO INDUSTRIES in Semarang, Central Java, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design welding jigs, fixtures, and production-ready components, collaborating closely with manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Basic knowledge of CNC nesting software or similar (e.g., Solid Edge, TubesT).
• Basic knowledge of ERP system, preferably Odoo.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to be placed in Semarang, Central Java.

Job description

As Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing welding jigs, fixtures and products, with a strong focus on transforming mechanical concepts into fully production ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Designing products and the required tools for manufacturing.
• Integrating technical requirements and specifications into the design process.
• Selecting appropriate materials based on technical specifications and project requirements.
• Conducting risk assessments of developed tools and fixtures.
• Designing and developing welding and inspecting jigs in close collaboration with the production team.
• Ensure that designs are practical, efficient, and ready for implementation.
• Establish clear and effective working methods that minimize production lead times while maintaining the highest quality standards.

About you

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Basic knowledge of programming 2D and 3D CNC (tube) laser cutter, CNC water jet, CNC foam cutter with nesting software like Solid Edge (Siemens), TubesT, or related.
• Basic knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Odoo.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A flexible and customer oriented approach to work.

The strength of our business lies in our flexibility in production allowing for our bespoke collections to be designed in-house and produced exclusively for each client without the need for excessive minimum order quantities. This flexibility allows broad collections themed around a quality designer look with manageable shipment volumes that don’t compromise on quality as all S2dio’s production is a fully machine made product.

At S2dio we have three main production facilities focusing on Hardwood, Recycled Teak, Aluminium, Artificial rattan and cushions. This gives us an enormous potential when it comes to flexibility in production and the mixing of materials which is very much on trend.
