Job summary

PT Unelec Indonesia (UNINDO) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design power transformers, tanks, cooling systems, and related mechanical components. You will review general arrangement drawings and oversee foundation and support structures while coordinating with manufacturing teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and ANSYS, and fluent English.

Job description

Perform electrical design of power transformers based on customer specifications, electrical design requirements, applicable standards, and manufacturing capabilities.

Design and review transformer general arrangement drawing, internal arrangements, tank designs, covers, conservators, radiators/coolers, piping, support structures and other mechanical components.

Create and evaluate mechanical design and arrangement of transformer core, windings, clamping structures, insulation components, leads, and active-part assembly against short circuit forces.

Design transformer tanks, covers, stiffeners, lifting devices, jacking pads, pulling eyes, foundation arrangements and supporting structures and verify the mechanical strength under full vacuum and specified positive internal pressure.

Design the transformer cooling capacity base on specified cooling requirements.

Perform and manage mechanical design via coordination of various activities, such as create analysis report for tank/material strength, seismic calculation, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Fan flow and others analysis required to be submitted.

Extract and compile parts information to generate accurate BOMs and part lists for manufacturing

CANDIDATE SHALL PAY ATTENTION THAT THIS POSITION WOULD BE HIRED BY MANPOWER SUPPLY VENDOR IN CONTRACT BASE.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

Knowledgeable of Transformers, High Voltage Switchgear (HVS) & Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) is a plus point.

Knowledgeable with AUTOCAD tool, Inventor, ANSYS and Microsoft Office

Generally, 5+ years of experience in engineering or related roles is required.

Fluent in English both oral and written.

Demonstrate the effective verbal and written communication skills.

Proven the ability to identify and resolve issues during project life cycle.

Admit strong organizational skill for planning, scheduling and resources allocation.

Experienced in managing project budgets and costs.

Preferably a non-smoker candidate.
