Job Description:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the transfer of technology fromour Parent Company, a Large European Energy Company, particularly from the lead factory in Europe, to thelocal operation. This role focuses on managing the engineering team, developingtechnical skills, enhancing local engineering capabilities, and ensuring compliance with the Parent Company's standards and local regulations. The Engineering Manager will alsoimplement design rules, Design to Cost, and Design to Manufacturing principles tooptimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the engineering organization unit, leading, motivating, and developingdedicated employees to build a proficient and capable workforce.
  • Enhance the technical skills and capabilities of the engineering team to align withour Parent Company's standards and support technology transfer.
  • Lead the integration of technology and practices from the lead factory in Europe,into local operations.
  • Develop and refine design rules to meet local market requirements while adheringto global standards.
  • Implement Design to Cost and Design to Manufacturing principles to ensureproducts are cost-effective and manufacturable.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes,product quality, and overall organizational performance.
  • Ensure adherence to regional requirements, regulations, and global standards,particularly those from the lead factory in Europe.
  • Develop and maintain a capable workforce that can execute engineering activitieson time and to the required quality standards.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between local teams and experts fromlead factory's experts to support successful technology transfer and ongoingsupport.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in the Medium or Large Power Transformersbusiness.
  • Experienced with Indonesia's National Electricity Company's(Perusahaan Listrik Negara / PLN) design requirements
