Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an MEP Engineer to review designs, calculations and equipment specs for project alignment. You will monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection installations during construction to ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include supporting testing, coordinating with Civil/AR teams, tracking progress and preparing MEP-related documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (D3 or S1).
• 1 year of relevant experience in MEP, building construction or project management; fresh graduates may be considered.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection.
• Ability to read MEP drawings, technical specs, and shop drawings.
• Familiar with load calculations, installation, testing, commissioning and quantity measurement.

• Conduct and support testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Coordinate with Civil and Architectural (AR) teams to ensure effective system routing, equipment placement, and space planning.
• Monitor MEP work progress and validate completed quantities to support vendor billing and payment approval.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify technical issues, deviations, and potential risks related to MEP works.
• Prepare and maintain MEP-related documentation, including inspection reports, testing records, and progress updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in MEP, building construction, engineering, or project management. Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience may also be considered.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, particularly HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Able to read and understand MEP drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
• Familiar with basic load calculations, MEP installation methods, testing and commissioning, and quantity measurement.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM software or other MEP-related tools is a plus.
• Good understanding of relevant MEP standards, building codes, and occupational safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
