Job summary

Formulatrix Indonesia in Central Java is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the design, prototyping, testing, and optimization of automated lab equipment. You will create components and drawings, and collaborate with teams to move concepts toward manufacturing.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics, experience in mechanical design and fabrication, CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks/Onshape), and willingness to work in Salatiga or Semarang on project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Has experience in mechanical design and manufacturing (machining and fabrication).
• Has experience in mechanism design, automation, or special purpose machines.
• Have the ability of using CAD/CAM (SolidWorks or Onshape is a plus).
• Have the ability to participate in DFMEAs and support PFMEAs.
• Willing to work in Salatiga or Semarang according to the project needs.
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Soft skills: Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Designing and prototyping mechanical components and systems.
• Conducting research and analysis to create the concept of new products.
• Evaluating test and design results, and redesigning until the product is ready to be manufactured.
• Analyzing design requirements, constraints, and specifications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly.
• Working and collaborating with other professionals within and outside the engineering sector.
