Job summary

Makitech Sistem Indonesia in Depok, West Java, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for robotics and automation. You will design, prototype, and optimize mechanical systems, end-effectors, and integrated automation solutions, collaborating with electrical and software teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on CAD work (SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360), kinematic/dynamic analysis, FEA and thermal studies, and BOM creation.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3–7 years of experience in mechanical design, especially robotics or automation.
Strong knowledge of CAD and material selection.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete systems for robotic and automation applications.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic mechanisms to ensure optimal performance and stability.
Conduct structural analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis to validate designs under operational loads.
Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems with control hardware and firmware.
Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing documentation.
Develop and test prototypes, iterating on designs based on performance feedback.
