Job summary

PHC Indonesia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop concepts, prototype, and drive continuous improvements for medical devices and components.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and procurement to move designs into manufacturing, prepare 2D drawings with BOMs, and ensure DFMA principles are applied. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required (fresh graduates welcome).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drafting software (SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support DE team for New Project Development from design concept to prototyping and continuous improvement.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable using appropriate processes (machining, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.).
• Prepare 2D drawings with detailed BOMs and technical documentation; conduct product/parts evaluations.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement to ensure smooth transitions from design to manufacturing.

Mechanical Design Engineer

• Support for DE team for New Project Development as Design concept, prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable using appropriate processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Do the Evaluation process product, parts, Prepare 2D drawings with detailed BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing.

Job Requirements

• Min. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (fresh graduate are welcome)
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drafting software (SolidWorks, CATIA) and Simulation Software analysis
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials (metal & plastics), and fabrication techniques
• Have Knowledge with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks, Good communication and collaboration skills.
