Job description

Mechanic reports to Technical Manager and is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery, systems, and equipment. Ensuring all vessels are properly maintained and ready to operate when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Diagnose and fix mechanical and hydraulic issues based on the Technical Manager’s assignment and inspection findings.

b) Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

c) Prepare required tools, spare parts, and information before starting work. After completion, check and secure all tools and remaining parts on board.

d) Ensure any additional spare parts or workshop services needed during the job are provided so work is completed on time.

e) Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and spare parts used.

f) Monitor and report daily maintenance activities and work progress for each vessel, and submit reports after completing work.
