Job summary

Alcon MX in Batam is seeking a Material Planner to develop and maintain material requirements plans and forecasts. The candidate will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, monitor delivery plans, and maintain material master data in SAP. Strong analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in English are essential. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree holder.
• Strong understanding of material planning.
• Good understanding of SAP ERP is preferred.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain plans, forecasts, and schedules for material requirements to support operational needs.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal plant support teams to ensure activities are clearly defined and executed effectively.
• Monitor daily delivery plans to ensure alignment with schedules and promptly highlight any discrepancies.
• Create purchase requisitions considering request dates and component availability.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date material master data in SAP.
• Forecast raw material and component requirements and communicate plans to buyers.
• Collaborate with Receiving and Quality Assurance teams to ensure timely release of raw materials.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
