Job summary

Alcon Indonesia is seeking a Material Planner to develop and maintain plans, forecasts, and schedules for material requirements to support operations.

You will collaborate with suppliers, plant teams, and QA to ensure on-time delivery, monitor inventories, and optimize material flow. Strong English, SAP ERP familiarity, and solid project management are essential in a fast-paced, global medical devices environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of material planning.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
• Strong project and time management abilities.
• Effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain plans, forecasts, and schedules for material requirements to support operational needs.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal plant support teams to ensure activities are clearly defined and executed effectively.
• Monitor daily delivery plans to ensure alignment with schedules and promptly highlight any discrepancies.
• Create purchase requisitions with consideration of request dates, component availability, capacity constraints, and other resources required to support on‑time delivery.
• Forecast raw material and component requirements and communicate plans to buyers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Receiving and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure timely release of raw materials, including coordinating and scheduling meetings as required.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels and support actions to optimize inventory performance.
