Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs Group is seeking an Intern/Thesis candidate to assist on the production floor with data collection, monitoring, and process improvement initiatives. You will work with engineers to analyze issues, document actions, and support maintenance activities in a collaborative environment.

The role offers exposure to CMMS data, OPs updates, and hands-on project participation in a global automation company.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a relevant technical degree or diploma.
• Knowledge of data collection and basic root-cause analysis.
• Ability to assist engineers in troubleshooting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record machine breakdown, downtime, and process data from the production floor and maintenance system (CMMS).
• Analyze recurring machine and process issues using basic problem-solving tools with engineers.
• Support troubleshooting of machine problems, including observing, documenting, and verifying corrective actions.
• Monitor critical process parameters and machine settings and report deviations.
• Help prepare and update OPs, maintenance procedures, and checklists.
• Participate in improvement projects (cycle time reduction, downtime reduction, 5S) as assigned.
