Job summary

GE Vernova in Bandung is offering a full-time internship in Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence. You will observe shop-floor processes, collect data, and participate in 5S, Kaizen, and visual management activities.

The role requires an undergraduate student in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and willingness to base in Bandung for at least 6 months. You will work with operators, supervisors, and engineers to identify and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Observe shop-floor processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and propose improvement ideas/projects to improve productivity, quality, safety, or process flow.
• Support the execution and follow-up of improvement projects.
• Conduct data collection, basic analysis, and time studies to support improvement initiatives.
• Help identify waste and inefficiencies using Lean principles.
• Assist with Lean activities such as 5S, Visual Management, and Kaizen.
• Prepare reports, charts, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Document improvement projects, track progress, and summarize results.
• Work with operators, supervisors, engineers, and other team members to support continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other Lean / Continuous Improvement tasks as assigned.

Support the Lean team in identifying and implementing process improvements to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity. The intern will gain hands‑on experience in Lean Manufacturing, process analysis, time study, waste identification, and continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing environment.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Lean concepts such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 7 Wastes.
• a student who enjoys observing processes, identifying problems, and turning ideas into practical improvement projects
• Basic CAD knowledge is a plus
