Job summary

PT GFT Indonesia Investment, part of GFT Group, seeks a Mandarin Translator on-site in Kecamatan Ngawi to support communication between Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and local teams, translating documents, emails, and reports from Mandarin to Indonesian or English and vice versa.

Daily tasks include interpreting during meetings, site visits, and training sessions, ensuring information is conveyed accurately and culturally appropriate.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written), with fluent Indonesian and/or English language skills.
• Experience in professional translation and interpretation, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or corporate settings.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and context-appropriate translations for technical, operational, and business documents.
• Good interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills to support effective collaboration between international and local teams.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple translation tasks within deadlines.
• Comfort working on‑site in Kecamatan Ngawi and participating in meetings, factory walkthroughs, and training sessions as needed.
• Relevant educational background in languages, translation, international communication, or a related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a multinational company or exposure to international manufacturing operations is beneficial.

Role Description

The Translator Mandarin role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kecamatan Ngawi. The translator will support communication between Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders and local teams, including translating documents, emails, and reports from Mandarin to Indonesian or English and vice versa. Daily tasks include interpreting during meetings, site visits, and training sessions, ensuring information is conveyed accurately, clearly, and in a culturally appropriate manner. The role also involves assisting with the preparation of bilingual materials for internal communication, production processes, and regulatory documentation.
