Job summary

PT Zoom Tree Supply Chain Management in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Legal Manager (Mandarin Speaker) to oversee the company’s legal matters in the mining and shipping sector, providing strategic counsel on contracts, investments, and regulatory compliance.

You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, coordinate with notaries and external counsel, monitor Indonesian laws, and lead the legal team to support growth and cross-border transactions with Chinese and Indonesian partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, 5–8 years of relevant legal experience
Experience in mining and/or shipping industry preferred
Mandarin-speaking and good English communication required
Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and corporate documents

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day legal matters and provide practical legal advice to management and business teams
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial and corporate agreements
Support investments, M&A, asset acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
Conduct due diligence for potential investments and transactions
Provide legal advice on Indonesian corporate, commercial, mining, shipping, maritime, employment and regulatory matters
Coordinate with notaries, external counsel, and government authorities
Monitor changes in Indonesian laws relevant to mining and shipping
Lead and manage the legal team to ensure timely handling of legal matters
