Job summary

PT POLYCOOL SISTEM INDONESIA is expanding its presence in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, and seeks a Mandarin–Indonesian translator/interpreter to bridge daily operations between Chinese management and local staff.

You will translate technical and business documents, support meetings, site visits and service activities, and assist with communications with customers, suppliers and partners, including travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin and Indonesian, both spoken and written.
• Experience in translation, interpretation, customer service, sales or technical service preferred.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mandarin–Indonesian interpretation for daily communication between Chinese management and Indonesian employees.
• Assist with communication between the company and local customers, suppliers and business partners.
• Provide interpretation during customer meetings, business discussions, site visits and technical service activities.
• Assist Chinese technicians and management during refrigeration and cold-chain equipment installation, maintenance and service work.
• Translate business documents, technical documents, quotations, emails, messages and other company materials between Mandarin and Indonesian.
• Communicate with local customers and help understand their refrigeration and cold-chain service requirements.
• Assist with coordination between Chinese management, local employees, technicians and customers.
• Support the company in handling day-to-day communication and coordination in Indonesia.

Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian, both spoken and written.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to interpret accurately during meetings and on-site technical/service activities.
• Experience in translation, interpretation, customer service, sales or technical service is preferred.
• Candidates with refrigeration, air-conditioning, cold-chain or engineering experience are highly preferred.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
• Responsible, reliable and able to work independently.
