Job summary

PT NEW CORAL SEA in Surabaya is seeking a Chinese-speaking Project Assistant / Translator to support daily project coordination, communication, administration, and on-site activities for interior construction projects. You will provide Chinese–Indonesian interpretation for meetings, assist with documentation and scheduling, coordinate with building management and vendors, and help monitor progress.

The role requires on-site presence, a valid driver's license, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Chinese and Indonesian, both spoken and written.
• Experience in translation, administration, personal assistance, project coordination, or related roles preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction, renovation, interior projects, or building materials is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to communicate with building management, vendors, suppliers, and other external parties.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide Chinese–Indonesian and Indonesian–Chinese interpretation for daily communication, meetings, and on-site activities.
• Assist with project administration, documentation, scheduling, meeting notes, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with building management, suppliers, vendors, and local partners.
• Assist with project progress monitoring, material checking, and basic construction-related coordination.
• Translate construction-related documents, work instructions, material lists, and other relevant documents.
• Support on-site activities, inspections, transportation, and other project-related tasks.
• Drive for business purposes, including site visits, document/material delivery, and transportation when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
