Job summary

Hexagon Mining in Balikpapan, Indonesia is seeking a Remote Monitoring Manager to oversee the Remote Monitoring Centre operations on a full-time basis. Reporting to the General Manager Southeast Asia, you will lead a regional team responsible for performance, safety-critical monitoring, and customer-facing support.

You will be part of the Senior Leadership team in the Balikpapan Head Office, guiding service delivery, operational improvement, and strategic direction.

Qualifications

• Background in IT/IOT operations, ideally within mining or resources-based sector.
• Proven success in team leadership across coaching, developing and leading a team within an operational/KPI environment
• Ability to working in a high-volume environment with production or operational criticality understanding
• Ability to lead directives within live monitoring environment and event validation metrics
• Proven success in collaborating in a customer-centric, solution-focused engagement
• Business and commercial acumen, understanding service-based revenue streams
• Valid Australian working rights: Working rights for Indonesia

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous awareness of all regional monitoring activities, including live operations, workload conditions, and system performance
• Own SLA performance across all monitored sites within the region
• Coordinate workforce coverage for shift gaps, absenteeism, and operational surges
• Identify opportunities to enhance monitoring efficiency, validation accuracy, and response effectiveness
• Lead a medium to large team of operators/Team leads in day-to-day management, plus overall performance through coaching, development, workforce management/planning and leadership
• Lead and define functions strategic direction, business improvement and maturity of operational process and procedures

The Position:

Reporting to the General Manager Southeast Asia we are recruiting a Remote Monitoring Manager to join our team in Balikpapan, Indonesia on a FT basis.

The Remote Monitoring Manager is responsible for the full operational oversight, performance, and strategic direction of the Remote Monitoring Centre (RMC) activities within an assigned region. Our technology is within Safety critical monitoring for a range of mining operations. in addition this role will be part of the Senior Leadership team in our Head Office in Balikpapan

This role will see you lead a team of personnel on operational performance safety critical monitoring activities whilst partnering with customers on service support inquires, improvement initiatives and operational optimisation guidance

In addition but not limited to the following responsibilities;

About you

We are looking for an experienced IT/RMO/ 24/7 support Divisional Manager with a background in remote monitoring or IOT / IT technology ideally within a live monitoring environment who is a passionate people leader, ready to take their career in the growing mining sector.

In addition, we are seeking those with the following skills or attributes.
