Role Description

The Maintenance Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Surabaya, responsible for organizing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimal production interruptions. This position prepares detailed maintenance plans, schedules preventive and corrective work, and aligns resources such as labor, spare parts, and tools. The Maintenance Planner reviews work requests, defines job scopes, creates work orders, and monitors progress to confirm completion according to safety and quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and operations teams, as well as maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports. The Maintenance Planner also supports continuous improvement initiatives, identifies recurring issues, and helps optimize maintenance strategies and schedules.

Qualifications

• Strong Maintenance Planning and Planning skills to develop schedules, work orders, and resource allocations.
• Practical experience in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance Management within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Supervisory Skills to coordinate maintenance teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability principles, and basic root cause analysis.
• Ability to read technical documentation, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with maintenance planning tools or CMMS software and basic MS Office applications.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with attention to detail and safety.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.
