Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Technical Planning Manager (Machining) to lead machining operations and drive process excellence.

You will oversee tool design, layouts, and capital projects, ensuring alignment with quality and cost targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will manage teams across engineering and manufacturing, apply GD&T and NC programming skills, and collaborate closely with global stakeholders to deliver world-class hydraulic shovels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Experience with machining heavy components and tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop teams to meet plant objectives.
• Coordinate tool design, layouts, and process planning.
• Lead capital projects for process improvements and cost control.
• Oversee installation of new machines and equipment for efficient manufacture.
