Job summary

JAPFA is seeking a Hatchery Machine Operator in Indonesia to operate setter and hatcher equipment and follow SOPs. You will manage environmental conditions and perform routine maintenance to support reliable hatchery operations.

Daily duties include logging temperature, humidity, ventilation, and egg/DOC handling, while upholding strict biosecurity and sanitation standards across the facility.

• Assist with egg setting, candling, and DOC transfer.
• Maintain daily logs of conditions and hatchability.
• Enforce strict biosecurity and sanitation in the area.

Job description

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Hatchery Machine Operations:Operate and monitor setter (incubation) and hatcher machines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Environmental Parameter Control:Regularly monitor and record temperature, humidity, ventilation (air circulation), and egg turning to ensure they remain at optimal levels.

Maintenance & Servicing:Perform routine inspections, cleaning, disinfection, and basic preventive maintenance on setter/hatcher machines and supporting systems (HVAC, generators, water pumps).

Egg & DOC Handling:Assist with egg setting, candling (fertility checking), transferring eggs from setters to hatchers, and the DOC (Day-Old Chicks) pulling process.

Monitoring & Reporting:Maintain daily logbooks tracking temperature/humidity, machine status, and hatchability rates, and immediately report any technical faults or parameter deviations.

Sanitation & Biosecurity:Maintain cleanliness in the machinery area and enforce strict biosecurity standards to prevent microorganism contamination within the hatchery facility.
