Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Indonesia is seeking an Associate to support transaction execution across buy-side and sell-side engagements, including M&A, joint ventures, and capital market transactions. You will perform detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling, and prepare information memoranda and investor materials, under guidance.

The role requires strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, valuation, or financial consulting.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with a solid understanding of corporate finance concepts.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment.
• Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CA, MBA) are an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support transaction execution across buy-side and sell-side engagements, including M&A, joint ventures, and capital market transactions.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and scenario analysis.
• Prepare transaction materials such as financial models, information memoranda, management presentations, and investor materials.
• Assist with due diligence processes, including analysis of financial statements, forecasts, and key value drivers.
• Conduct market, industry, and company-specific research to support strategic and financial recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to the development of insights and recommendations for clients under the guidance of Managers and Directors.
